Stormwater and Me at the Delray Affair
The PBCO-NPDES Stormwater and Me program setup a booth at the Delray Affair to help educate the public on the effects of pollution on our stormwater system and how to help prevent pollution from entering the stormwater system.
The NPDES Steering and Public Education Sub-Committees want to thank everyone who volunteered for their effort and contribution of time. We couldn't have done it without you!
At the event we gave away 850 tote bags, 900 chip clips, 800 sticky pads, 800 stickers, 1200 "Pesticide Herbicide & Fertilizer Use" brochures, and 1200 "Illegal Dumping and Illicit Discharges" brochures. We had approximately 2,500 visitors at our booth. This was the first public event the Stormwater and Me program took part in. It was a great start on educating the public on the importance of keeping out stormwater clean.
