Chris Evert/Raymond James Celebrity Tennis Event November 5-7, 2010
During the 3 day celebrity tennis event, the City of Delray Beach Public Outreach department handed out materials produced by the Stormwater And Me public education program. 100 tote bags, 100 Illicit discharge/Illegal dumping brochures, and 100 Pesticide, Herbicide, & Fertilizer Reduction brochures, 50 key chains, 75 note pads, and 100 pens were distributed.

Nutrients (from leaves, grass, fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides) can lead to fish kills and excessive amounts of algae in the water
Bacteria (from pet waste and dead animals) can produce health concerns
Sediment can reduce the system's ability to handle potential flooding and adversely affect aquatic organizms
Chemicals, oils, and paints can be toxic to plants and animals
